Pollereshütte
3.7About
The hut offers 60 beds across simple dormitories and a few double rooms. Meals are hearty Austrian fare: dinner focuses on schnitzel and stews, breakfast is basic, and packed lunches can be ordered. Hot showers require a small fee. The hut operates year-round but is most reliably open from May through October; confirm availability before visiting in shoulder months. Water comes from a spring. Facilities are basic but functional—you get what you need, not frills. The location makes it a solid base for day walks in the Sölktal and for access to higher routes toward the Grebenzen and surrounding peaks.
Book direct by phone or email. July and August weekends fill quickly—aim to book 4–6 weeks ahead for summer travel. The hut attracts Austrian hikers and families as much as through-hikers, so Friday and Saturday nights are busiest. Weekdays offer breathing room and quieter evenings in the hut's simple communal areas.
