Refuge de Moëde Anterne sits at 1996m on the eastern flank of the Chaîne du Roc. Access from the north is via the Vallée Verte: walk from Samoëns (850m) in 4–5 hours, gaining 1150m steadily through forest and meadow. From the south, the approach from Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval (900m) takes 3–4 hours. Both routes are well-marked and hikeable in summer conditions. Winter access is unreliable.
