About
The hut sleeps around 40 people in dormitory rooms. Meals are served daily: expect simple, hearty food typical of rifugio cooking. The kitchen provides hot water for tea and instant meals if you bring supplies. There's no shower, only basic washbasins. The hut operates year-round but staffing varies; call ahead in winter. Mobile reception is weak to absent.
Book direct by phone or email well ahead for summer weekends and July. July and August fill 2–3 months out. The hut is managed independently, not by CAI. Bring cash—card payment is unreliable. Allow extra time for the final approach: the trail becomes unmarked and scrambling-exposed higher up. This is a working mountaineer's hut, not a comfortable base camp.
