About

Chalet de la Figlia sits at 2,050m in the Massif de la Vanoise, accessible from the village of Pralognan-la-Vanoise. The approach takes 2.5 hours on foot from the village, following a well-marked trail through larch forest and alpine meadow. In winter, the hut can be reached via ski touring from Pralognan. The location puts you within striking range of Mont-Blanc massif ascents and climbs in the Chaîn de la Vanoise, making it a solid base for mountaineering objectives in the region.
The hut is managed by FFCAM and operated as a staffed refuge during summer months (mid-June to mid-September). It sleeps 20 people in shared dormitories. Meals are prepared daily and include hearty dinners and packed lunches for mountaineers starting early. There is no shower facility, but washing water is available. The hut runs on solar power and a small generator. A small shop sells basic supplies, though bring everything you might need for off-season visits.
Book directly with the hut from May onwards for summer visits. July and August fill quickly, especially weekends—reserve at least 4 weeks ahead. Outside the staffed season, the hut offers winter room access for self-catering groups; contact FFCAM Savoie for arrangements. Half-board meals are mandatory during peak season.
