Refuge du Laisonnay
3.3About
The refuge operates year-round and offers 40 beds in dormitory rooms. A shower facility is on-site, unusual for smaller Alpine huts at this elevation. Half and full board are available; the kitchen cooks straightforward mountain food. The hut sits outside the major national parks but within easy range of the Chartreuse's ridge walks and limestone peaks. Summer brings hikers tackling the Chaîne de Belledonne and Massif de la Chartreuse; winter sees fewer visitors but the hut remains open for snow-sports access.
Book directly through the hut for July and August weekends. The refuge can fill during school holidays and on French public holidays. Contact them at least two weeks ahead for these periods. Weekday visits in June and September are usually straightforward to arrange without advance booking.
