Rifugio Arbolle

Rifugio Arbolle sits at 2,507m on the border between Italy and France, serving the higher valleys of the Mont Blanc massif. The hut is accessible from the Val Ferret on the Italian side, with most approach routes taking 3–4 hours from the valley floor. You can reach it from Entrèves or Courmayeur as a day's walk, or combine the ascent with a multi-day traverse of the Mont Blanc range. The location works well as a base for peaks in this sector and as a staging point for longer Alpine journeys.
The rifugio offers 66 beds split across multiple dormitory rooms. Evening meals are available—book your dinner when you reserve—along with basic breakfast. The hut has hot water, toilets, and a small common area. It operates from June through September, with the busiest weeks in July and August. Winter access is possible but requires Alpine climbing skills and avalanche awareness. Staff speak Italian and basic English.
