Rifugio GEAT Val Gravio sits at 1,390m in the upper Val Gravio valley, in the Savoie region near the Italian border. The hut is reached from the village of Bessans via a hiking trail that climbs steadily through woodland and alpine pasture. The rifugio operates as a mountain shelter with 32 beds split across shared rooms. Meals are available on request—book ahead for dinner and breakfast. The hut has basic facilities: water from the spring, a simple kitchen setup, and heating in cooler months.
