Inzeller Skihütte

Inzeller Skihütte sits at 1,266m in the Chiemgau Alps above the village of Inzell, roughly 50km southeast of Rosenheim. Reach it on foot from Inzell in 1.5 hours via a well-marked trail that climbs steadily through beech forest before opening onto alpine meadows. The hut also serves skiers and snowshoers in winter, with a small ski lift nearby. Summer access is straightforward; winter approach depends on snow conditions and avalanche forecasts.

The hut operates year-round and sleeps around 60 guests in dormitory rooms and a few private doubles. The kitchen serves substantial evening meals and a solid breakfast buffet; packed lunches are available. The hut has running water, toilets, and gas heating. It's a working base rather than a destination in itself—most visitors use it to access higher peaks in the Chiemgau range or to hike the surrounding ridge trails that run toward the Hochfelln and Rauschberg. The location suits two-night trips well, with good day-hike options from the hut.
