About
This is a small emergency shelter, not a staffed rifugio. Five beds total, no meals, no running water, no electricity. The bivacco has basic protection from weather and a logbook. Bring a sleeping bag, stove, and all food and water. It operates year-round but is most practical May to September when snow clears the approaches. Winter access requires mountaineering skills and avalanche awareness.
Book directly with CAI Val Comelico or check rifugi.net. The hut has no phone or email—contact the managing section through cai.it. Given the tiny capacity and remote location, expect to camp nearby in summer if the bivacco is full. This is not a destination for casual hikers; come prepared to be self-sufficient.
