Rifugio Paolina

Rifugio Paolina sits at 2,125m on the approach to the Brenta Dolomites. Most parties reach it in 3–4 hours from the Madonna di Campiglio valley floor via the standard hiking route. The trail is well-marked and gains roughly 1,000m steadily through larch forest and alpine meadow. The hut works as both a destination walk and a base for day routes into the surrounding peaks.
The rifugio has 40 beds split across shared rooms. Half-board (bed, dinner, breakfast) is the standard arrangement, though packed lunches can be arranged. The kitchen serves straightforward mountain food: pasta, polenta, stewed meats, local cheese. Water and power are reliable. The building is simple and functional—expect basic comfort, not luxury. Showers are available. The hut operates from June through September, closing in winter and shoulder seasons.
Book directly by phone or email at least 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August. July weekends fill fast. June and early September are quieter and still have good weather. Call or email to confirm availability and discuss meal preferences (vegetarian options exist but need advance notice). The hut does not hold reservations without direct contact.
