Cabin Bivacco Monte Magnodeno
3.4Capanna Bivacco Monte Magnodeno
About
The bivacco is a basic mountain shelter designed for self-sufficient users. It offers minimal amenities: flush toilets and basic sleeping platforms. Bring your own sleeping bag, food, water, and a stove if you plan to cook. The hut stays open year-round but is most practical from May through September when snow retreats and access is straightforward. Capacity is tight—expect 8 to 12 people maximum.
Check conditions and access via CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) chapters in Lombardy before you go. The hut has no warden and operates on an honesty-box system for any donation. Winter and early spring ascents require avalanche knowledge and equipment. Bring everything you need: this is not a staffed rifugio.
