About
The hut sleeps around 40 people in shared rooms with blankets and pillows provided. Half board is standard: simple dinner and breakfast included with your bunk. The kitchen serves hearty mountain food—expect polenta, risotto, and local cheese. Water comes from a spring. The refuge runs late June through September; weather closes it other months. There's no electricity and no shower, though washing facilities exist. This is a basic working hut, not a hotel.
Book directly with the hut by phone or email at least 2–3 weeks ahead for July and August. Weekends fill quickly year-round. The refuge sits on CAI trails and is managed independently, so check their website or call ahead to confirm opening dates, especially in early June and late September when weather can force closures.
