Refuge Tartaglione Crispo

Rifugio Tartaglione Crispo sits at 1,800m in Lombardy and serves as a base for hiking across the mid-mountain ridges and valleys of the region. The hut is accessible by trail from the valley settlements; standard approach takes 3–4 hours of steady ascent depending on your starting point. The location works well for day hikes into surrounding peaks and cross-valley traverses, as well as a overnight stop on longer Alpine routes.

The rifugio offers beds for roughly 50 people across mixed dormitories and a small number of private rooms. Half-board (dinner and breakfast) is standard; the kitchen provides filling mountain food suited to hikers. Water is reliable. The hut has basic but adequate toilet and washing facilities. Opening season runs roughly June through September, depending on snow conditions. Outside these months, contact ahead before planning a visit.
