Rifugio Lago d'Allos sits at 2,226m in the Maritime Alps, on the shore of Lac d'Allos in Piedmont. Reach it from the Colle della Lombarda (2,351m) in 2.5 hours, or from the Pian delle Gorre trailhead in 4 hours. The hut marks a natural stopping point for traverses between the Ubaye Valley and the upper Gesso basin.
