About
Rifugio Monte Zeus sits at 2,621m on the Monte Zeus massif in Piedmont's western Alps. Reach it from the Balme valley via the CAI trail from Gias dell'Alpe—allow 3.5 hours for the 7km approach. The hut works as a base for traversing the high ridges between Monte Bles and Monte Rosa's outer peaks, and for day hikes across the alpine meadows that dominate this section of the range.
