About

Reali Renato sits at 2,650m in the Primiero valley of Trentino-Alto Adige. Reach it from Rifugio Fedare (2,567m) in roughly 1 hour on marked trail. The hut stands near the Passo di Travignolo and serves as a base for approaches to peaks in the eastern Dolomites. Summer access is straightforward; winter approaches are longer and demand alpine skills.

This is a small basic bivouac with 6 beds and 6 emergency places. The hut is staffed during summer months only. There is no guardian in winter, and you'll need to be self-sufficient—bring your own food, water, and sleeping bag. No meals are served, drinking water is not guaranteed, and there is no WiFi. The hut provides shelter and little else. Note that renovation works are scheduled to begin on 18 August 2025, and the hut may be closed or inaccessible during this period—check current status before planning.

Book through rifugi.cai.it or contact the CAI directly by email. Summer months fill up; book at least 2 months ahead for July and August. Winter access requires prior arrangement and confirmation that the hut is safe to enter. Email first to confirm availability and current conditions, especially given the planned renovation work.
