About
The bivouac holds 24 beds in basic dormitory rooms. There's no electricity or running water—you'll fill containers from snow melt or a stream depending on season. The warden provides simple meals (pasta, soup, polenta) and hot drinks. The season runs June through September. Facilities are minimal: an outhouse toilet and a basic wood-burning stove. Bring your own sleeping bag and pad.
Book directly by email or phone as far ahead as possible. July and August fill quickly. The hut prefers contact by email for reservations. This is a working bivouac for alpinists on multi-day Gran Paradiso trips, not a staffed rifugio. Come prepared for alpine conditions and self-sufficiency.
