Refuge Giorgio Bertone vecchio

Rifugio Giorgio Bertone vecchio sits at 1,970m in the Val Gressoney, Valle d'Aosta. Reach it from Gressoney-la-Trinité by heading northeast along the valley floor. The walk takes 2.5 hours and gains 400m steadily through pasture and larch forest. The hut operates year-round but staffing is minimal in winter—phone ahead to confirm availability December to March.
