The hut anchors access to via ferrata routes and high-altitude traverses across this compact limestone massif.
The hut holds 34 beds across the main building and a winter room with 2 emergency spaces. It was renovated in 2005 and runs with full staffing from June through September, serving meals daily and offering showers and reliable drinking water. It stays open weekends outside the summer season but unstaffed. There is no WiFi. The hut works well for families doing easier valley walks and as a base for climbers tackling the surrounding vie ferrate and traverses.
