Stella d'Italia
4.8About
The rifugio offers 30 beds across mixed dormitory rooms and a handful of doubles. Half-board is available (dinner and breakfast included); day visitors can order packed lunches. The kitchen serves solid mountain fare—pasta, polenta, local cheeses, and game when in season. The hut has basic shower facilities and a small bar. Opening runs from June through September; shoulder months can be quiet, making late spring and early autumn good times to avoid crowds while still having reliable weather.
Book directly by phone well ahead for July and August. June and September see lighter traffic but still warrant a call 3–4 weeks in advance. The hut's phone-only booking system means you won't find it on major platforms—get the number from the local Cortina tourism office or check the Veneto CAI federation listings. Winter access is not maintained.
