Gafadurahütte

Gafadurahütte stands at 1,428m in the Liechtenstein Alps, accessible via the Lawena Valley from Triesen. The hut sits roughly 2.5 hours' hiking from the valley floor, making it a practical base for day routes across the range or as a waypoint on longer traverses. Access is straightforward on marked trails; no climbing experience required.
The hut sleeps 42 people across dormitory and simple private rooms. Hot meals are served daily during the operating season, with vegetarian options available. Drinking water comes from the hut's own spring. Basic facilities include showers and heating. The hut operates year-round, though staffing and meal service are reduced outside summer months (June to September sees full services). The LAV maintains this hut as part of Liechtenstein's small Alpine hut network.
Book directly by email or phone for visits June through September—the peak weeks in July and August fill 4-6 weeks ahead. Outside summer, contact the hut to confirm staffing before traveling. Half-board (bed plus dinner and breakfast) costs roughly 50-60 CHF per person, with bed-only options cheaper. Groups of 10+ should notify the hut in advance. Winter visits are possible but confirm current conditions and staffing first.
