Planinska Hut na Kamnem Vrhu

Planinska Koča na Kamnem Vrhu sits at 761m on Kamnem Vrh in the lower Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The hut serves as a base for day hikes across the range and for routes toward Ojstrica and other peaks in the area. Approach from the village of Kamnik—trailhead parking is straightforward. The walk from Kamnik takes 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace and exact route. This is accessible terrain suitable for weekend hikers, not a serious alpine objective.
The hut is run by PZS and offers basic accommodation and meals. It has 15–25 beds in shared rooms. Dinner and breakfast are available; book meals when you reserve the room. The hut opens year-round, though staffing is reduced in winter—contact ahead if visiting November to March. Water and toilet facilities are standard for a mountain hut at this elevation. Mobile signal is usually present.
