Alp Zavretta
2.6About
The hut is a simple dairy farm operation rather than a staffed mountain refuge. It offers basic accommodation in dormitory rooms and serves cheese, bread, and drinks. Space is limited—expect 15–20 beds maximum. Water comes from the spring. There are no showers or cooking facilities for guests. The hut operates year-round as a working farm, but the season for regular hiking traffic is May to October. Winter access is possible but conditions dictate practicality.
Contact the farm directly before visiting. Phone ahead to confirm space and meal availability, especially on weekends. There is no formal website or online booking system. Pay in cash only. The hut is remote enough that spontaneous arrival without prior notice risks finding it closed or unable to provide meals.
