Curzútt
1.5About
The rifugio sleeps around 30 people in mixed and private rooms with basic facilities. Meals are standard Alpine fare—expect good pasta, local cheese, and hearty mountain food. Water comes from the mountain. The hut opens year-round but is most reliable June through September; winter access depends on snow cover and staff availability, so check ahead if you're visiting outside summer months. This is a working shepherd's refuge, so the atmosphere is genuine rather than polished.
Book by email or phone at least two weeks ahead, longer if you're planning a July or August weekend. Friday and Saturday nights fill quickly. Contact the hut directly to confirm current opening status, especially in shoulder seasons. The Bergamo CAI can also provide contact details if the hut's direct lines are unavailable.
