About
The rifugio offers 40 beds in shared dormitory rooms. Meals are substantial—half-board rates are standard. The kitchen produces local Lombard cooking, with polenta, casseroles, and cured meats featuring regularly. You'll find a small bar, a dining room with windows onto the plateau, and an outhouse toilet system typical of working-hut operations. The hut operates year-round but is busiest in summer weekends and autumn. Winter access depends on snow conditions; contact ahead if planning a winter visit. Power is limited; charging phones may require negotiation.
Book directly with the rifugio by phone or email. July and August demand booking 4–6 weeks in advance. Spring and autumn weekends fill quickly during good weather. Off-season (November–April) book at least one week ahead. The hut is managed by a CAI-affiliated family operator. There is no mains electricity—heating and hot water run on gas.
