About
The refuge is small and intimate, with 15 beds split between one dormitory and a handful of basic double rooms. The guardian provides hot meals in the evenings and simple breakfasts. There is no shower, but you can wash in cold water from the mountain spring. The hut operates year-round, though winter access requires mountaineering experience and avalanche awareness; summer (June to September) sees regular foot traffic. Solar panels provide limited electricity, so recharge devices sparingly.
Book directly by phone as soon as your dates are fixed. July and August demand booking 4–6 weeks in advance. The hut is managed privately rather than by the SAC, so confirm opening status before heading out, particularly outside peak season. Bring cash; card payments are not reliably accepted.
