Musauer Alm
3.6About
Musauer Alm is a traditional dairy alm that operates as a refreshment hut rather than an overnight refuge. Capacity is modest—expect bench seating for 30–40 people indoors. The kitchen serves simple food: Kaiserschmarrn, soups, bread and cheese. In summer they often have fresh dairy products from their own animals. Water comes from the spring. Basic toilets are outside. The hut opens from June through September, weather permitting; opening dates shift with snow melt, so call ahead in early season.
Phone the hut directly to check opening status and daily availability. They don't take advance reservations for day visits. Go midweek in July and August to avoid the weekend crowds from Mayrhofen. In June and September, you'll often have the place nearly to yourself.
