Stripsenjochhaus
3.9About
The hut operates year-round and manages about 80 beds across dormitory rooms. Meals are straightforward: substantial dinners, hearty breakfasts, and packed lunches for onward hiking. Flush toilets are available. There is no WiFi—this is a working hut, not a retreat centre. The location makes it useful for groups doing multi-day Kaiser traverses or anyone needing a reliable overnight stop on high-level ridge walks.
Book directly by email or phone. July and August fill fast; reserve at least 4–6 weeks ahead for summer weekends. May and September see steady traffic from ridge walkers but fewer bottlenecks. Winter access depends on snow conditions—confirm availability before arriving. The hut is affiliated with the Austrian Alpine Club (OeAV) and welcomes members and non-members equally.
