Cabanne de Plan Névé

Cabane de Plan Névé sits at 2,262m in the Chaîne de l'Épée massif, accessible from the Vallée de la Clarée. The approach takes 3 hours from the Chalet de l'Alpe d'Endrix trailhead. The route gains 700m through open terrain with few scrambling sections. This location works as a base for traverses toward Pic de Cabre or as a staging point for longer ridge walks across the Chaîne de l'Épée.
The cabane holds 35 beds in simple dormitory accommodation. Half-board (dinner and breakfast) is standard; packed lunches are available on request. A spring provides reliable drinking water. The hut operates from late June through September. Expect basic but functional conditions—no shower or heating. The guardian maintains the hut throughout the season.
