Le Richard sits at 1535m in the French Alps and serves as a solid base for hiking in the surrounding valleys and peaks. The hut offers basic mountain hospitality with dormitory beds and some private rooms. Meals are served at dinner, with packed lunches available to order. The kitchen supplies hot drinks and simple refreshments throughout the day. Capacity is modest—around 20–30 people—so the atmosphere stays quiet and functional rather than crowded. The hut operates year-round, though winter bookings require confirmation of road access beforehand. Facilities are straightforward: heating, running water, and toilets. Showers are cold.
