Chalet de la Frasse
3.4About
The hut operates as a simple refuge with around 40 beds in shared dormitories and a few private rooms. Meals are available on a half-board or evening-only basis; the kitchen serves traditional Savoyard fare. Hot drinks and snacks are on sale throughout the day. Water is available on-site. The chalet is open year-round but staffing and services are most reliable from June to September. Winter visits require coordination in advance.
Book by phone well ahead for summer weekends and July-August, when the hut fills quickly. Contact the hut directly to confirm availability and meal arrangements before arriving. Weekday visits outside peak season are easier to accommodate. The location makes Chalet de la Frasse a practical base for ridge walks around the Tournette and scrambling on the surrounding limestone peaks.
