La Vesancière
2.6About
The refuge is managed by FFCAM and operates from June through September. It sleeps around 40 people in dorm beds with basic alpine accommodation—expect blankets, not duvets. Half-board meals are available; the kitchen produces solid mountain food. Note: there is no drinking water supply on site, so you must carry what you need or source it from streams before arrival. Cell reception is unreliable. Toilets are basic; shower facilities are not available.
Book directly with the refuge from April onward for July and August weekends—these fill quickly. Mid-week and June or September offer easier slots. The hut charges per-bed rates for overnights plus meal supplements. Bring water, a head torch, and expect to share a room with other walkers.
