Le Tiocan
2.6About
The hut has 15 beds split across simple shared rooms. Meals are served family-style: a solid dinner and breakfast included with your stay. The kitchen is basic but functional. Water comes from a spring nearby. There's no electricity or heating beyond wood stoves, so nights are cold from September onwards. Le Tiocan opens mid-June to mid-September, weather permitting. It's run by FFCAM volunteers who maintain the building and trails.
Book directly by email or phone at least 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August. The hut fills quickly in good weather and during school holidays. Call ahead during shoulder months (June, September) to confirm the guardian is present and conditions are stable. Bring warm layers and a headtorch. Mobile signal is absent or weak; plan communication before you arrive.
