Refuge de la Loge
2.6About
The refuge is run by FFCAM and holds 40 beds in dormitory rooms. Half-board meals are available: substantial dinners and hearty breakfasts fuel the next day's walking. The kitchen handles vegetarian requests if you mention them when booking. Water comes from a spring on the property. The hut opens year-round but staffing is limited November to March—check ahead if visiting outside summer. Basic facilities include a dining room, a small bar, and composting toilets. Winter visitors should expect a quieter atmosphere and reduced services.
Book directly with the refuge by phone or email 4 to 8 weeks ahead for July and August weekends. The hut fills quickly during school holidays in summer. Off-season visits (April, May, September, October) rarely need advance planning. Arrive by 4 p.m. to secure your spot and allow time for the evening meal service.
