Refuge de la Pointe Percée - Gramusset
5.0About
The refuge holds 45 beds split across dormitories. Meals are available—the guardian prepares dinner and breakfast if you book ahead. Showers are on-site. There's no WiFi. It functions as a proper mountain base for loops into the higher peaks nearby: you can traverse to Lac de Puy or continue toward the Chaîne de Rochers. The hut is open June to September and during Easter week; outside these dates, contact FFCAM before visiting. The guardian is resident during the full season.
Ring ahead to confirm availability and to order meals. Phone is the only reliable contact method. July and August fill quickly; book 4–6 weeks ahead for those months. June and September are quieter but still busy on weekends. The hut closes when the guardian leaves in late September, so plan accordingly. Bring cash—card payments are not always possible at this altitude.
