About
The cabin is a small, unstaffed refuge with 6 beds across two rooms. You bring your own food, cooking fuel, and water—there is no running water or shower. A basic stove and cooking area let you prepare meals. The toilet is a dry system. The space works well for small groups doing multi-day traverses or acclimatization climbs in the Écrins-adjacent terrain. Winter ascents are possible for experienced parties with proper equipment and navigation skills.
Book directly with the FFCAM Grenoble section or check their website for current access details and any seasonal closures. Winter visits require self-sufficiency and avalanche awareness. Arrival is on a first-come, first-served basis, so expect no guarantees during July and August weekends.
