Gite du Logis des Fées

Gîte du Logis des Fées sits at 1839m in the Tarentaise Valley near Landry. Reach it from the village of Landry (take D213 towards Peisey-Vallandry) or from the hamlet of Montagnoley. The hiking approach from Landry takes roughly 2 hours on a well-marked path through forest and open pasture. The gîte makes a logical stop on longer routes through the northern Vanoise approaches or as a base for day walks in the local valleys and peaks around Mont-Blanc massif viewpoints.
The gîte operates as a mountain lodge with around 40 beds in shared and private rooms. Half-board is available; bring your own lunch or order packed meals the evening before. The kitchen handles dietary requirements if you notify ahead. Water and basic supplies are on-site. The gîte stays open year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions and you should confirm before travelling. It sits on FFCAM walking routes and serves both summer trekkers and winter snowshoe users.
Book directly by phone or email at least 3–4 weeks ahead for July and August. Off-season (September to June) you can often arrange stays with less notice, though weekends fill up. The gîte has no website, so telephoning is fastest. Expect to pay 45–60 euros per person for half-board. Check conditions before winter visits.
