Refuge du Roc de la Pêche
3.6About
The refuge operates year-round, hosting 30 beds in simple dormitory accommodation. Evening meals feature local mountain cooking—expect generous portions of cheese, potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. The kitchen supplies breakfast and packed lunches for onward hikers. Water comes from a spring; there's a small communal lounge and toilet facilities outside. This is a working mountain hut, not a resort.
Book directly by phone, especially for weekends and the July-August peak season. The hut runs busiest in summer and during school holidays. Winter access depends on snow conditions; verify before visiting November through March. Arrive by mid-afternoon if walking up the same day.
