Refuge de Grand Plan sits at 1,923m in the northern Vanoise, above the Tarentaise valley. Reach it from Landry via the GR55 trail—allow 3–4 hours for the 7km approach. The hut perches on a shelf of alpine pasture where trails converge toward Pointe de la Réchasse and the higher Vanoise peaks. The refuge operates as a staffed seasonal hut run by FFCAM. It accommodates around 40 people in dormitory beds.
