Rifugio Città Di Ciriè

Rifugio Città Di Ciriè sits at 1850m in the Savoie, on the eastern flank of the Chaîne de Belleville. The hut serves as a base for routes into the Parc National de la Vanoise and across the high cols linking the Tarentaise and Maurienne valleys. You can reach it from the Belleville valley in roughly 2.5 to 3 hours on foot, depending on your starting point and fitness. The approach is straightforward Alpine hiking on marked trails, gaining around 600–700m of elevation.
The rifugio holds 23 beds across shared dorm rooms. Meals are served family-style at fixed times; let them know your dietary requirements when you book. The hut runs summer season only, typically June through September, depending on snow conditions at higher elevations. Facilities include a wood stove, simple toilets, and water from a natural source. This is a working mountain hut, not a hotel, so expect basic comfort and an early dinner service around 6:30pm.
Book directly by email or phone at least 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August, especially if you're part of a larger group. June and September are quieter. The hut management prefers calls in the morning hours (French time). Confirm your estimated arrival time and let them know if you're arriving late. Camping is not permitted in the immediate area, so the hut is your only overnight option for that location.
