Deindlhütte
4.4About
The hut is a simple operation run by the DAV (Deutscher Alpenverein). It offers around 40 beds in mixed dorms and smaller rooms, a basic kitchen, and serves dinner and breakfast. The facilities are functional rather than fancy—expect no shower. Water comes from the stream. The hut is open year-round, though staffing can be lighter in shoulder seasons, so confirm ahead if you're visiting outside peak months (June through September). The location makes it popular with local hikers and climbing groups working on the Benediktenwand's lower rock scrambles.
Book bunks directly with the hut by phone or email at least 2 weeks ahead during summer weekends. July and August fill fast. The hut accepts cash and bank transfers. Access by car to the trailhead at Benediktbeuern is straightforward from Munich via the B11; parking is available near the village.
