Gründhütte
4.3About
The hut sleeps 10 people across simple dormitory accommodation. Meals are available on request—book your menu when you reserve beds. Water comes from the mountain spring; heating is wood-fired. The hut is typically open from May through October, though winter ascents are possible with advance arrangement. This is a working mountain hut, not a hotel: expect basic conditions and self-sufficiency. The DAV Sektion München und Oberland maintains it as part of the broader alpine hut network.
Book directly through the DAV Sektion München und Oberland (contact details available via the main DAV website). Summer weekends fill quickly; reserve 4-6 weeks ahead for July and August. Off-season (May, June, September, October) has more availability. Confirm meal arrangements and any special requirements when you book.
