About
The bivouac is a simple hut box with a roof, walls, and mattresses. Bring your own sleeping bag, stove, and all food and water. There is no guardian. Crowding is rare because of the tiny capacity and remote location. The surrounding area suits alpine hiking and scrambling on accessible peaks. Open year-round in theory, but winter conditions make access difficult November to April.
Email the managing club or local CAI section before departure to check current condition and access. Expect to hear back within a few days. This is not a hut with meals and service—it is shelter for hikers who know what they are doing and carry everything they need.
