Baita Ranzola
3.9About
The hut sleeps 50 guests in mixed and private rooms. Meals are substantial: expect pasta, risotto, and local Piedmont dishes. Hot showers and drying facilities make it practical for mountaineers doing multi-day traverses. The hut operates year-round but is busiest June through September and during Easter. Winter access requires ski mountaineering skills.
Book directly by phone or email at least 6–8 weeks ahead for July and August weekends. The hut fills fast with guided groups doing Monte Rosa circuits. Half-board (bed and meals) is standard. Pack cash—card payments aren't always reliable at this elevation. Arrive before 17:00 to secure a cooked dinner.
