Refuge Guglielmo Migliorero

Rifugio Guglielmo Migliorero sits at 2,099m on the slopes of Rocca Provenzale in the southern Piedmont Alps. The hut serves as a base for hiking in the Langhe and Roero valleys. Approach from Mombasiglio village takes roughly 2.5 hours on well-marked trail. The route gains 900m steadily through alpine meadow and mixed forest. Summer access is straightforward; winter approaches require snow experience and may be impassable.

The rifugio holds 88 beds across multiple rooms. Half-board and full-board meals are available—the kitchen handles large groups. Showers are on-site. The hut opens year-round but staffing and services vary by season; confirm availability before visiting in winter or shoulder months. The location works well for day hikes across the high pastures and for longer traverses linking to other rifugios in the region.
