Bivouac Forcella Coldosè
2.9Bivacco Forcella Coldosè
About
The bivouac sleeps 12 in two simple rooms with basic bunks. Bring your own sleeping bag and mat. Drinking water is available on-site. There are no meals, heating, or electricity—you carry your own food and stove. The bivouac operates year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions and your own winter mountaineering skills. The location makes it useful for early starts on scrambles and rock routes in the surrounding peaks, particularly approaches to Passo Ghedina climbs.
This is an unmanned facility. Check conditions locally in Cortina before heading up, especially outside summer months. Capacity is tight—expect to share close quarters with other climbers. Leave the bivouac clean and respect the log book protocol. If winter access is your plan, scout conditions carefully; the pass can be avalanche-prone depending on snow loading.
