Alpine Dairy Monte Sole Alta

Malga Monte Sole Alta sits at 2,048m on the high pastures between Val di Non and Val di Sole in Trentino. Reach it from Commezzadura in about 3 hours on foot via marked trails through alpine meadow. The malga operates as a working alpine dairy and simple refuge with 11 beds split across basic rooms. Meals focus on local Trentino fare and dairy products made on-site. Water comes from mountain springs. The hut runs seasonally from June through September, closing during heavy snow. Facilities are rustic—expect no electricity in sleeping areas and shared bathroom facilities. This is a working farm refuge, not a service hut with commercial amenities.
