Stabanthütte
4.3About
The hut manages 40 beds across simple rooms. Meals are hearty—expect South Tyrolean specialities alongside pasta and meat dishes. They serve breakfast, packed lunches, and dinner. Water runs from the mountain; power is limited. The hut operates year-round but staff numbers drop significantly November to April, so call ahead in winter. Toilets and washing facilities are basic but functional. This is a working hut, not a resort.
Book directly by phone or email. July and August fill 4–6 weeks ahead, particularly weekends. June and September are quieter and still offer stable weather. The hut sits on the border, so both Austrian and Italian hikers use it regularly—don't expect English as a first language. Bring cash; card payment isn't guaranteed.
