Almhütte Stiendlalm

Almhütte Stiendlalm sits at 1,664m on the Stiendl Alp in the Zillertal, Austria. The hut operates as a traditional Tyrolean mountain dairy and restaurant. It sleeps around 30 guests in simple shared and private rooms. The kitchen serves hearty local food: alpine cheese, schnitzel, soups, and seasonal vegetables from the surrounding farms. Meals are available for day visitors too. Facilities include basic bathrooms and a small bar. The hut runs year-round, though staffing is lighter in shoulder seasons—confirm opening dates before visiting. Electricity is limited; charge devices during daylight hours.

Book directly by email well ahead for weekends and July–August. Expect a response within 2–3 days. Accommodation fills quickly during school holidays and Tyrolean festival periods. The hut prefers advance reservations and may turn away walk-ins during peak season. Bring cash; card payments are not always reliable at this elevation. The nearest town with supplies is Zillertal, roughly 30 minutes' drive down-valley.
