About
This is a basic mountain shelter, not a staffed hut. It provides emergency refuge and sleeping platforms for 8–12 people in tight quarters. There is no guardian, no meals, no running water. Bring a stove, fuel, and all food. The shelter remains open year-round, though snow and avalanche risk close access in winter. Conditions are spartan: expect minimal insulation and no amenities beyond four walls and a roof. Suitable only for self-sufficient hikers carrying their own gear and supplies.
Arrival is first-come, first-served. Register in the logbook if the hut is occupied. Check recent entries online or ask at Forni di Sopra tourist office for current conditions before setting out. Winter access requires full mountain skills and avalanche awareness.
